Lead 1st/2nd Tenor, Victor was born in East NY and moved to The Bronx as a child. His first group experience was with The Shalamors of 180th St., then The Cashmeres of 138th St. Victor received success as part Lead and 1st Tenor of the group, The Delmonicos, formed in 1958 which he was an Original, with recording in the early 1960′s, with labels such as AKU RECORDS and JODA RECORDS. He rejoined The Delmonicos as Lead and Baratone for gigs unfilled. He joined John Kuss and The Excellents with their big hit: “CONEY ISLAND BABY”. He did all the Opening Shows and 1st Tenor for nearly a year. He joined The Creations in 2003, becoming their main Lead singer. He recorded a CD with The Creations in 2005. During that year, Victor and The Creations became Kid Kyle & The Kool Kats with a 10 year old young boy.
Chris Cerullo, Lead Vocals/Baritone/2nd Tenor, born in Garfield, New Jersey and attended Rutgers University where he founded his first Acapella Group: Vito & The Twilights, performing in and around the college campus. With The Twilights, Chris recorded 4 songs on 2 Acapella compilation CD’s for Starlight. He later founded the Acapella group: Remembrance where he received UGHA’s “Rookie Group of The Year” honor in the late 90′s and recorded two original tunes which received air play on WCBS FM. Then Chris moved on to a group called: Goodfellas, playing around NJ. Filling in his time between these groups, Chris sang lead for various classic rock bands around the state and last year appeared in a 2-week off-Broadway musical production of Saddamn the Musical where he played the lead part of Saddamn.
Danny was born in the South Bronx and started singing at an early age. He sang with a group called The Cordials and recorded Dawn is Almost Here on the Seven Arts record label. After moving to New Jersey he started singing with Eric And the Plazas and recorded I Wish in 1963. In 1964 he recorded Danny Boy with Nicky Addeo and The Plazas on the Revelation label. After doing a lot of background work, he joined Sound Investment in the early 1980′s. He’s now joined The Cameos – Welcome, Danny!
I am proud to say that I was born and raised in a Newark, New Jersey Housing Project named “Steven Crane Village”. I started getting involved with music when I was 12 years old, listening to my big brother, Angelo Basilone, the Lead Singer of the great acapella group known as “The Savoys”. My friends and I decided to start our own band, at the age of 15, and we called ourselves “The Five Reasons.” Believe it or not, one of our very first gigs was a wedding at a club called “Joey’s” which was located on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark. Not only were we influenced by “The Savoys” but you may have heard of another well known person, who also was born and raised in “Steven Crane Village” (named Frankie Vallie) and that’s why we called ourselves “The Five Reasons”.
Paul has been playing drums since the age of 9. Born in Scranton Pennsylvania,. Paul was influenced by some of the greatest drummers in history Ed Shaughnessy, Louie Belson and Buddy Rich. Paul studied drums privately with the well regarded Frank Marripodi from Watchung, New Jersey. In addition, Paul continued his musical studies with The Glenn Weber Drum Studios in West Orange, New Jersey and attended Fairleigh Dickenson School of Percussion. Paul has had the opportunity to play with many well known groups including one of New Jersey's Top Show Groups, "The Galahads", Jerry Vale, and the Allan & Rossie band. He has performed at the Garden State Arts Center (PNC) with all three of these groups. He's had vast experience in Studio Work and is very proud to have been chosen to "carry on" The Cameos name at the wishes of it's founder: Mr. Roger "Bassman" DelRusso." The Show must go on and Paul will see to it that Roger's wishes are fulfilled to the extreme!
Cathy (Facchinei) was born and raised in Summit, N.J.. Growing up in a musical family, Cathy began playing the saxophone at the age of 6. Guided by their father's love of music, Cathy, her sister and two brothers formed a group appropriately named The Brothers and Sisters. They performed in the tri-state area, including summers at the Poconos and Catskill Mountain Resorts; Las Vegas and Disney World; just to name a few. As teenagers, they recorded two original songs under their own record label and appeared on The Jerry Blavat Show in Philadelphia and Someone New in New York City. By the age of 16, Cathy auditioned for the "all-girl" band in the Broadway Musical Sugar, an adaptation from the movie Some Like It Hot, produced by David Merrick and Gower Champion, and was awarded 1st chair. Her inspiration was the saxophone style of the famous Sam Butera, of Louis Prima's band; Sam Butera and the Wildest. Cathy has over 20 years experience performing with her family and is very proud to be a member of another 'family' group: THE CAMEOS.
A born and raised Jersey Boy, and inspired by his father who played drums for over fifty years, most notably with the group The Toppers, Arno began playing piano at the age of 8 years old. He has over 40 years of performance history and sings both lead and harmony vocals.
Playing in various bands all over the New Jersey and New York area, from the Jersey Shore to the East Village, he has performed all types of music from Doo-Wop and Acapella to Classic Rock and everything in between. Arno also toured Canada in the late 70’s with a nine piece disco soul band! His inspiration comes from such greats as the Duprees, Johnny Maestro, The Four Seasons, Yes, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles and Elvis.
Today, Arno welcomes his role as The Cameos’ Keyboard Player, Vocalist and Musical Arranger. Together with his band mates, he welcomes the challenge to recreate the original sounds of the 50s and 60s for all fans and lovers of this bygone musical era to enjoy.
Born in Passaic and raised in Clifton, New Jersey, Rick began his musical "career" in elementary school performing as a trombonist in the concert, orchestra, jazz and marching bands. Heavily influenced by various genres of Top 40 music and harmonies of the 1960's, with his ear "glued" to the radio, he began learning guitar and bass guitar on his own and was soon forming groups and playing various community events and talent shows. Rick has performed for over 40 years in the NJ, NY and PA metro areas with local, regional and national acts including Norman Fox & The Rob Roys; The Students; The Solitaires; The Blue Notes (25+ year member), Just Cruisin', Jukebox Gold, Mixed Company, The Rock Daddy's as well as several oldies, classic rock and country bands. He has performed shows with vocalists from The Crests, The Duprees, The Belmonts and Frankie Lymon's Original Teenagers. While Rick has worked with The Cameos as their "fill-in" guitarist on several occasions, he is proud to join "NJ's Favorite Oldies Group" as their regular member. Welcome aboard, Rick!,Ja
You might not know the name, but chances are you've heard his work. Mike first started playing guitar at the ripe old age of 4, taught by his dad Mike Guaragna, Sr. who was a quite a jazz guitarist himself. After seeing 4 lads from Liverpool on the Ed Sullivan show one night in February of 1964, the music bug really bit. Soon after that, Mike joined his first band and switched over to bass as his main instrument. Ever since then he has been touring, and playing in music venues and recording studios from one end of the country to the other.
Over the years, Mike has put together a very impressive resume of performance, recording and commercial work from coast to coast, while also playing with and opening for a host of national and local acts. His body of work has incorporated a variety of musical genres ranging from Rock n' Roll, Progressive Rock, Jazz, Fusion, Funk, Country and Oldies, performing with Charlie Thomas' Drifters, The Coasters, The Marvelettes,
The Regents, and many others before joining The Cameos.
He has also released 3 solos CDs as Mike Garner since 2005.
